Responsibilities

  • To execute shift production task in accordance with standard operating procedure
  • To execute the instruction from control panel operator
  • To constantly communicate with control panel operator as well as relevant production personnel and to assist mechanical, electrical and instrumentation personnel to conduct necessary work on site
  • To regulate the process operating condition eg. temperature, pressure, flow etc when required
  • To observe and check the instrumentation reading and products appearance
  • To inspect equipment operating condition based on the guidelines
  • To comply with safety and health practices at work
  • To keep working area clean and organized
  • To complete any task assigned by plant supervisor

Requirements

  • Minimum SPM
  • 2 years’ experience in manufacturing/ production industry but those without any working experience are encouraged to apply
  • Able to communicate well in English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Ability to communicate in mandarin will be an advantage

Steam Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, operate, manage and maintain the steam boiler according to standard operation procedure (SOP) and JKKP standard
  • Plan for Machineries / facilities PM and JKKP inspection schedule. Maintenance of boilers and associated equipment according to PM program
  • Troubleshooting as required to minimize downtime. Ensure full compliance to safety procedure, hygiene procedures and 5S execution
  • Housekeeping of boiler house and its surrounding area as to 5S requirement. Monitor and ensure the boiler’s daily operation log is updated promptly and accurately
  • Provide relevant report on utility performance and maintenance. Maintenance Records are to be executed as per detailed in SOPs
  • Maintains good record-keeping and retrieval. Report writing and keeping of log book. Manage and provide support to utility supervisors and technicians on day to day operation
  • Understanding of the principles and theory of a natural gas supply, boiler assembly, and steam generation, distribution system, boiler design, installation codes, and safe working practices related to natural gas, steam and its hazards
  • Organize and conduct job trainings to enhance the skills and competency of boilerman. Perform shift-duty roster as scheduled for Boilers and facilities activities
  • Perform and execute and task / assignment as deemed necessary by Superior. On call duty after working hours

Requirements:

  • Diploma / Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Must possess at least 2nd Grade Steam Engineer certification by JKKP
  • Good working exposure in steam boiler operation and maintenance
  • Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Knowledge of steam supply system in manufacturing processes including knowledge of Department of Safety & Health (DOSH) safety and regulatory requirements
  • Strong leadership skills and is results oriented
