Financial aid for Lions Nursing Home Kuching

21 September 2021 – When some residents and staff were tested positive for the coronavirus at the Lions Nursing Home Kuching recently, a section of the ward was converted into a home quarantine centre while staff had to be equipped in complete PPE-gear as they go about their daily tasks. As this unfortunate incident had significantly raised their monthly expenditure, CMS donated RM5,000 to the Home that continued caring for the welfare of our warga emas even during the pandemic. 

Datin Ellis Suriyati, Chairperson of the Home, thanked CMS for the donation as it has helped ease the Home’s financial burden and reduced its running expenses. “We are very grateful to CMS for their kind donation which is very timely in view of the difficult time for our Home to raise funds during this pandemic over the last two years,” she stated.
