Caring for those struggling in silence
12 March 2021 – With the pandemic’s repercussions pushing Malaysian’s mental health to a breaking point, the mental health epidemic is expected to become the second biggest health problem in Malaysia,
after heart disease. To help local NGOs in their efforts in dismantling the stigma around mental
health and in caring for those struggling in silence, CMS donated RM3,000 to Bodhi Counselling
Centre to support the continued provision of their email, telephone and face-to-face counselling
services, along with its community awareness programmes because like Glenn Close, CMS also
believes that what mental health needs is more sunlight, more candor and more unashamed
conversation.
