The company has also taken a 60% equity stake in Cahya Mata Phosphates Industries Sdn. Bhd., a joint venture with Malaysian Phosphate Venture Sdn Bhd (27.17%), and Ariff Enigma Sdn Bhd (12.83%). Cahya Mata Phosphates Industries was set up to construct and operate an integrated phosphate complex in Samalaju Industrial Park, Sarawak. Construction work is currently on-going and the first phase, comprising 3 plants is targeted for completion by end of 2020. The plants will produce Yellow Phosphorous, Technical Grade Phosphoric Acid and Food Grade Phosphoric Acid (to be used as feedstock for animal feed, fertiliser and other products), with an annual production capacity of 48,000 Metric Tons (MT), 75,000 MT and 60,000 MT respectively.
