Registration is now open for the CMS Tribal Run!

KUCHING, August 6, 2015 – Registration for the CMS Tribal Run which will take place on Sunday, September 6, 2015 is now open. This is the 6^th consecutive year that CMS is organising this run event for its employees but this year is different as, for the first time, CMS is inviting the public to participate as well.

It only costs RM35.00 to register for the 5KM Fun Run and RM45.00 for the 10KM Competitive Race. 100% of the participation fees collected will be channelled towards our local charities.

The event has so far attracted a total of 1,700 registrations from individuals as well as the corporate sectors and is expected to reach some 2,000 participants from in and around Kuching. The 10km route will take runners from the start-off point at the MBKS Building through to China Town (Padungan Road), the Kuching Waterfront, the Kuching Museum, Reservoir Park and back where as for the 5km route, runners will also start-off at the MBKS Building but will run through to Jalan Padungan, Jalan Central, Jalan Mendu, Jalan Sekama and back.

“The fantastic response we are receiving proves not just that there is a strong running culture in Kuching with people wanting healthier lifestyles but that the people of Kuching like to combine this with supporting our local charities which do so much good in our community. With CMS funding the entire cost of this Run, we want everyone to know that 100% of the entry fees will go to local charities. We hope this will encourage even more of our staff, customers, friends and runners to get together to enjoy what should be a fun morning. Besides an attractive finishers’ medal for those who complete the Run, there will also be prizes for the Top 10 in the Men and Top 10 Women in the 10-KM category. Top 5 Men and Top 5 Women who come in any form of tribal wear will be eligible for the Best Dressed Awards. On top of that there will also be many attractive Lucky Draw prizes to be won! So bring your family and friends along – if you cannot run, you can just walk!

All registered participants of the CMS TRIBAL RUN can collect their race pack from 3 – 6 September 2015 at BROOKES Outlet, Green Heights Mall, Kuching (Tel: 082 459 397). For CMS staff, collection can be made at Level 6, Wisma Mahmud, Kuching. Participants are expected to present their Identity Card with a physical copy of the registration confirmation upon collecting their race pack. Participants who are collecting the race pack on behalf of family or friends will be required to present an authorisation letter.

The race pack will feature an Official Event Brookes T-Shirt, a Runner’s Guideline Booklet filled with exclusive vouchers and a bib.
