Food drive for our furry friends

13 January 2021 – When the Sarawak Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SSPCA) shelter located at 7th Mile along the Kuching-Serian road was flooded due to the incessant rain, CMS’ Construction Materials & Trading Division quickly organised an in-house “Save Our Furry Friends” food drive, and collected newspapers and cardboards needed by SSPCA. However, due to the lack of storage space at SSPCA, the 11670.7 kg of newspapers and cardboards collected could not be donated but instead, was sold for RM988.60 which was then wired to SSPCA. The RM1,000 raised from the food drive was used to purchase food for the animals at the shelter.
