Donating to the women’s cause

12 March 2021 – In conjunction with International Women’s Day, CMS handed over a RM5,000 donation to Ms Margaret Bedus, President of Sarawak Women for Women Society (SWWS) to provide financial assistance to the local NGO offering a free crisis phone line and para-counselling services to women in distress. As an anti-discriminatory organisation, CMS commends SWWS’ admirable effort in promoting the importance of gender equality and heightening the awareness of the exploitation and abuse of women and girls, and hopes that through SWWS, more women can be empowered and educated on their rights.
